Bio

 Maya Scott is a contemporary abstract artist based out of Chicago. She uses her work to connect people through her use of color, bold strokes, and personal experience. Everyone has a story to tell, and with her conveyance of emotion and intuition, the artist allows the narrative of each piece to speak to the viewer on an interpersonal level. Influenced by artists such as Joan Mitchell and Normal Lewis, Scott seeks to ensure her work is honest and transparent. Through art, she hopes to invoke the experience of truly viewing the essence of life, while simultaneously bringing connection and healing to the conversation.
